Vosmaeri Eclectus
(Eclectus roratus vosmaeri)

Sorry, we no longer breed birds.

The green male and red and purple female Eclectus are some of the most strikingly-colored parrots. They are quite talented at mimicry. Eclectus Parrots make excellent pets, devoted to their owners. The Vosmaeri Eclectus are larger than the Solomon Island Eclectus. The female Vosmaeri has a golden yellow band of color at the base of her tail and yellow on the vent feathers. Males are a lighter green than other Eclectus subpecies.

determining Eclectus gender
Eclectus should be fed a diet high in vegetables, fruits, and grains. The brilliant plumage colors of Eclectus reflect the diet they are fed. Vegetables such as beet root, carrot, squashes, sweet potatoes, yams, broccoli, kale, and chard etc. are full of natural carotenes and are recommended for Eclectus. We do not recommend processed food
(i.e. pelleted diet) for Eclectus Parrots. PLEASE read this article regarding the
possible consequences of feeding processed food to Eclectus:
