The Leadbeater Cockatoo, also known as the Major Mitchell, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful of the bird species. It undoubtedly has the most magnificent crest feathers of all the cockatoo species.

It is a bit more aloof than are many of the white cockatoo species. It is bred in quite small numbers in captivity and is not an easy species to breed. It is higher priced due to it rarity and great beauty.
