It sure came close but we're all just fine and all of the babies in the nursery are fat and sassy!
We were ready to evacuate! A HUGE thank-you to the LA and Orange County firefighters and
the courageous helicopter pilots who saved us! Geez, I miss the rain!

We were packing birds in preparation for shipping when we heard there was a fire on the hill above us.
At first glance, it looked high on the slope, not burning our way. In a few minutes, it had burned down the entire hill!
